Innovative Curriculum

We have developed an innovative curriculum that is designed to meet the needs of a diverse student population. Our curriculum is designed to challenge students intellectually, while also fostering creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Culturally Affirming Learning Example:

Literature & History Integration with Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston

  • Input (Lens) - Culturally Affirming: Centering Black female voices and lived experiences in early 20th-century America

  • Activity - Students read and analyze Their Eyes Were Watching God alongside historical context of the Harlem Renaissance and Jim Crow South

  • Output - Literary analysis, reflective journaling, and Socratic discussion

  • Outcome - Students gain historical understanding of race, gender, and identity through period literature

  • Impact - Students compare and contrast Hurston’s cultural themes with contemporary issues of identity, equity, and voice

Diverse Student Body

Our school community is diverse and inclusive, and we celebrate the unique perspectives and backgrounds of our students. We believe that a diverse student body enriches the learning experience for all students.

Engaging Extracurricular Activities

Our school offers a range of extracurricular activities that cater to the diverse interests of our students. From sports teams to clubs and organizations, there's something for everyone.

Committed to Community

We are committed to being an active and engaged member of our local community. We believe that education is a partnership between the school, students, parents, and the community, and we work hard to foster positive relationships with all stakeholders.
